Welcome to Refugee Radio

About Us>> Refugee Radio Orchestra

Susanne Paschke

The Refugee Radio Orchestra was a supergroup of refugees, asylum seekers and local musicians who came together through music to show the world how we can all get along.

in 2010 the band played all over Brighton, from the Komedia to the birdcage bandstand on the seafront on August Bank Holiday Monday.

The band has featured a lot of different musicians including some members with mental health issues, physical disabilities and those who are unemployed, all overcoming barriers through music. The Orchestra worked to promote a more positive understanding of people from other countries who have sought refuge in our city.
